Why I love Charity Shops!

I love clothes, if I could I'd buy something new every week but with having little ones to think about I have to plan where all my cash is going.  This is where the charity shops come in.
If you want everything new you may think, oooh no I couldn't buy anything from a charity shop because you don't know where its come from,  but a lot of the items sold in charity shops are either new or nearly new and just need a wash!  I've picked up some amazing bargains and I regularly spend a Saturday afternoon seeing whats new, as they always have new stock coming in.  You can buy high street and even designer labels which are a bit more expensive but the fraction of the price of buying them new!  I love charity shops and have picked up some beautiful clothes.  Last week I bought these beauties.

Monsoon Cardigan bought for £4.99

Next tee bought for £3.49

Rocha_John Rocha top bought for £3.49

You can also buy jackets, skirts, trousers, boots, shoes and loads of accessories!  So next time you're in town don't just walk passed the charity shops, go in and take a look at what you might find because there are some real gems to be had and you'll save a fortune too, while supporting worthy causes!

Sites I'm Raving about!

I love the internet as a way to have fun and make a few extra pennies for my family! Their are so many fantastic sites that enable you to this!  Some involve a bit of work while others are more about how lucky you are!   So here's my top sites for making a bit of extra cash!

1 - Topcashback -

A fantastic site that gives you cashback on your shopping or whatever you're buying! Whenever you're looking for utilities, insurance anything you need to buy, check them and see if you can get some cashback!  I've made around £250+ with them just buy going through them whenever I want to buy something.  They also frequently run fun competitions with some fantastic prizes,  I recently won £20 in their Easter competition which has been running on their site.  You have to find birds and each bird gives either an egg or a prize draw entry!

Heres my link to their site http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/sweetkat32

2 - FreePostcodeLottery -

This is a brilliant site that has been going for a few years and its as easy as popping in your postcode and checking every day to see if your postcode has been drawn.  They have several draws and give away £100's each day!

Here's my link http://freepostcodelottery.com/?ref=765

3 - FreeBirthdateLottery

I love this site! Its quite new and all you do is give them your birthdate and check the draws which are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at the moment but they will do more draws as they grow their fan base.  They also have loads of other fun and games on their site which you can play for cash.

4- Ashleigh Money Saver

This is a good site to check every day.  Ashleigh has a daily prize draw giving away £50 a day.  There are also loads of money saving tips and voucher codes so well worth a look if your feeling thrifty!

5 - The Selfie Lottery

Just upload your selfie to enter into the daily draw to win cash.  The prizes vary from day to day but well worth entering as you've got to be in it to win it!

6 - Swagbucks

There are so many ways to earn Swagbucks which can be converted to cash, amazon or other vouchers and loads of other rewards.  The quickest way to ear Swagbucks is by doing surveys but only do the ones which are well paid.  I would not do any survey over 10 minutes that paid less than 35 swagbucks, because their are loads of survey sites which are much better paid.  I will do another post about those later!  There are also loads of other ways to earn swagbucks, through watching videos which you can play in the background while doing other things, using your mobile to download apps and Swagbucks TV for mobile.  It is well worth doing, I earned about £30 last month for not much effort.

Welcome to the mad world of Raving Reviews and Other Views

I have finally plucked up the courage to start this blog!  I love the internet and have been using it for years to make a bit of extra cash through doing surveys, bargain hunting, entering competitions and being reasonably successful at giving my family and I a few extra treats each month.

Offline I am a working mum of two boys, been happily married for 11 years and working part time and a support worker in a residential care home for adults with learning disabilities and epilepsy.  I love my job and have worked for the same home for 13 years.  Presently I'm studying for my QCF level three in Social Care which I hope to complete next  year.

I'm hoping to be able to share some of the knowledge I've gained though my passions!  Knowledge about my work, making cash online, comping and hopefully sharing some reviews of products I've received and books I've read!

I hope you enjoy reading!
